” The voice of my beloved! Behold, he comes Leaping upon the mountains, Skipping upon the hills.” -Song of Solomon 2:8
In the Bible both mountains and hills refer to difficulties and barriers. Difficulties relate to the issues around us, while barriers relate to the issues inside of us—namely our inner conflicts.
In both situations, the voice of the Lord can and should be heard. It does not matter how big or how many complicated problems a Christian may have. In fact, it is through the difficulties around us, and our inner conflicts, where we learn to seek the advice of our beloved Lord.
The Lord speaks, and He takes action as the verse states, “he comes Leaping upon the mountains, Skipping upon the hills.” He is above all the mountains and the hills. Every difficulty and barrier in your life is under His feet.
All your problems are for one reason and that is to bring you to a place where your relationship with the Lord becomes stronger and more intimate; it is in these problems where you will be able to experience His power and sovereignty.
Write down your top ten problems and bring it before the Lord in your prayers — submit to the Lord and invite Him to interfere in those issues. At His appointed time, you will see all those mountains and hills removed by His might.
